Casting On New Socks

I am loving my first pair of handknit socks so much that I purchased two more skeins of sock yarn; a charcoal color of Lornas Laces and a cream color of Madeleinetosh Sock yarn.

I decided to knit the charcoal pair first, and attempted the magic loop method of knitting two socks at once. My size US1 and US2 circulars are 24″, and it was just a fiddly mess to say the least.

Undaunted, I just decided to cast on both socks, each on its own set of DPNs, and knit on one a few rows, then switch to the other. I figure it may not be the most efficient method, but I hope it will solve the problems I had with my first pair (namely differing gauge and second sock syndrome).

So far things are going swimmingly ;-D
