A Little Laboring On Labor Day

As I sit here on my back deck I am being hindered by my youngest baby, a 70 lb Chesapeake Bay Retriever named Bo. He cannot stand for me to be outside and not petting him…in fact, to keep him off of me I am currently petting him with one hand and pecking my keyboard with the other!

These were the best photos I could get of him one-handed as I petted him and repeated “sit” in as stern a voice as I could muster. Can’t you just see how well behaved he is?!?! By the way, those streaks on his head are the drippings of the ribs from the grill…he was licking them from the charcoal dust under the grill…while they were still grilling! Crazy dog!

Well, now that you’ve met the mutt, on to the real reason for my post…more fabric designs, which is the little bit of laboring I was referring to above. Okay, I guess I shouldn’t classify that as laboring so much as a labor of love. I created a new collection around wildlife in winter. Currently I have three designs with two of them having two variations each for a total of five fabrics. I am also considering doing these in different color ways like ones I have seen on www.girlcharlee.com

Maybe I should do a design titled Dogs in Winter and feature a silhouette of Bo. You say not wildlife? HA! Then you don’t know Bo!

Well, I will keep it short since it is a holiday, and, well, those ribs are ready and waiting to be eaten!

Have a great Labor Day, y’all, from The Addled Creative in south Alabama!
